The school moved to 20 Bidhan Sarani in 1907 and has taught there ever since. What sits inside it needs describing by the people who use it.

The Premises

Since 1907

Founded at Naitollah in 1902, the school moved to its present address on Bidhan Sarani five years later. The building was raised by public donation at a time when educating girls in Calcutta was still an argument rather than an assumption.

It stands in Simla, Machuabazar, in north Kolkata — the same streets the school has drawn its students from for over a century.

A Science department has been recognised here since 1962, so laboratories exist. Their number, size and equipment are not documented anywhere public.
